Setting yourself a personal goal and asking others to sponsor you to raise money for a good cause is an excellent strategy for maintaining the outward focus and healthy exercise routines which are a basic foundation of a depression-resistant life. You can make a highly valuable contribution to the Students Against Depression cause by raising money for the Charlie Waller Trust.
Ideas for ways to do this include:
- running in a 5km, 10km or marathon event – the Trust has several London Marathon places available each year, as well as places in other running events
- a cycling, walking or other endurance event of your own devising
- a trek or endurance event, abroad for example
- a fun event on your campus
